FAQ'sQ: Who are the founders of the organization?
A: The founders of our organization are Caxton O. and Sylvia C. Haughton

Q: Who are Caxton O. and Sylvia C. Haughton
A: Caxton was born in Newport New, VA, holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from the University of Virginia, and has an engineering career. Sylvia is from Nicaragua and has a degree in Biblical Studies.

Q: What is this organization about?

A: It's a nonprofit Christian organization spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ to a hurting world, showing the love of God to underprivileged children and their families, trying to meet their physical and spiritual needs and giving them hope.

Q: Who does the organization help?
A: The organization is presently involved in local ministry in Georgia, and in other countries helping to feed lepers, the elderly, and children that are in need of help, through cooperation with in-country churches.

Q: When was the organization established?
A: On The Rock Ministries was established in 1998.

Q: What are the organization's sources of funding?
A: On The Rock Ministries finances its work through individual contributions, honoraria given to its founders when speaking in churches and other organizations, from book and audio donations and fund raisers, and special events such as conferences and retreats.

Q: What are the other countries the organization is helping?
A: Nicaragua, Ecuador, India and Chile.

Q: Is my contribution tax-deductible?
A: Yes. On The Rock Ministries, Inc is a 501( c )( 3 ) tax-exempt organization. As such, all contributions are deductible for income tax purposes.

Q: What are the current projects of the organization?
A: Since Sylvia is a native of Managua, Nicaragua, the organization has a building fund to raise the funds to build a Christian school and shelter for the children in barrio Acahualinca, one of the poorest neighborhoods in Managua. The organization is presently helping the elderly in Ecuador by sending used prescription glasses donated by local business, and by sending finances to help feed the elderly on Mother's Day and Christmas, and to meet other special needs they may have. It is also helping the Ecuadorian children by sending finances to help provide food, clothing, and to celebrate special events for them, like Christmas and Easter. The organization also sends help to India to help provide food for lepers, the elderly and to provide Bibles to those that are in need of one. On The Rock Ministries is in the process of providing gospel teaching and preaching video tapes for a TV Station in Chile.

Q: What are the needs of the organization?
A: First, we need your prayers for continued success in reaching the unsaved. Second, we need land in the Acahualinca barrio in Managua, upon which to build the children's shelter and school. Third, there is a continuing need for funding to help our contact churches overseas with food, clothing, and Bibles.

Q: What are the organization's goals?
A: Our goals are to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to all the nations and to help children in their physical needs, by providing them shelter, food and a place where they can learn of the love of God for them. We want to help them to believe in themselves for a better future, fulfilling their destiny and Christian calling in their lives. Together with your help, we can expand into other nations that are in so much spiritual and physical need.
