Our Mission
Isaiah 61:1-3
"To preach good news to the poor. To bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captive and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn and provide for those who grieve in Zion to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning. And a garment of praise, instead of a spirit of despair."

Our Vision
To build a shelter and a Christian school, where the homeless and the poorest children in Nicaragua will be given clothing, food, shelter, medical attention, and will be taught the gospel and the love of Jesus Christ.

Who We Are
Caxton O. and Sylvia Castillo Haughton are the founders of On The Rock Ministries, Inc. Caxton is President and founder Sylvia is the Vice-President and Co-founder. Caxton was born in Newport News, VA and is a graduate from the University of Virginia; he holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.

Sylvia was born in Managua, Nicaragua, and moved to the United States of America at an early age. She went to school in the US, attended City College of San Francisco, and was awarded a scholarship to attend San Francisco State University. Sylvia now holds a degree in Biblical Studies from Christian International.

The Haughtons have been married for 34 years and have two grown sons, Ryan and Adrian. Caxton & Sylvia have being in Christian ministry for many years. Their ministry is located in Florida and reaches out to Nicaragua in Central America.

Caxton & Sylvia have taken vital steps in reaching out to their local community by bringing the Gospel to some of the neighborhoods in their area, and by helping individuals put their lives back together through the restoration that Jesus Christ offers.

The Haughtons have received ordination from AEGA, international, Inc. (Association of Evangelical Gospel Assemblies.) AEGA has over 400,000 members over 40 countries. Through their ministry, On the Rock has held its charter, credentials and tax-exempt status since April 2000.

Caxton ministers in music, and they both preach and teach the prophetic Word of God, thus working as a team in the kingdom of the Lord. Their bilingual ministry "On the Rock" started about five years ago, when the Lord spoke to them and gave them the name and the logo for the ministry. The Haughtons are striving to fulfill the prayer of Jesus that we all may be one, by reaching out into the Christian community encouraging us to work together as one "NEW MAN." Jews and Gentiles, Ephesians 2:14-16

The ministry goal is to see the dynamic, present day ministry of the Holy Spirit bringing the Church in unity, touching the lives of those that are sitting in darkness, bringing them into the purpose of God and helping them to reach their full destiny in Christ.
It is their conviction that the army of end-time harvesters will not be fulfilled without coming together answering Jesus' prayer in John 17:21
On the Rock publishes and edits a quarterly periodical, "On the Rock Journal," in English and Spanish. On the Rock Ministries has also a Web Site bringing the light of the cross and the love of God in simple terms to a hurting world.
